Scholarships

 Foundation Scholarships Offered

The NCTC Foundation office will try to match you with a scholarship based on criteria set forth by the donor of each scholarship. Amounts of the scholarships vary from $500 to $2,000 per academic year. Minimum eligibility requirement is a cumulative 2.0 GPA.

The NCTC Foundation offers Dual Credit Scholarship opportunities for high school students taking dual credit classes at NCTC. You can complete a General Application and select the applicable semesters you plan to take dual credit courses. If you qualify for the Free or Reduced Lunch Program at your high school will not qualify for a NCTC Foundation scholarship because NCTC offers the Dual Credit Free & Reduced Tuition Grant. These scholarships will be offered for the academic year (Fall and Spring). Each semester, you must:

• be enrolled in and complete at least 12 hours of college work at NCTC

• maintain a 3.0 GPA

Both college and high school applicants must have an official copy of their transcript and two letters of recommendation to apply. Awarded based on special need, special competency, or scholarship, you must have a 3.0 GPA, be under 21 years old, and graduate of a Cooke County High School or your parents must own property in Cooke County. Awards are $ 100.00 for Fall and Spring only (no summer awards) for full-time students. If 3.0 GPA and full-time status is maintained, awards can continue for five consecutive semesters.
