May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Stop the Stigma! A Morning of Mental Health Awareness will take place at the NCTC Denton Exchange in Room 212. Speakers for this event include Brad Otto, author of Finding Myself Again: My Struggle With Mental Health and Finding Peace Again and Officer Todd Gyure with the Garland Police Department’s Wellness Unit and a S.W.A.T. Hostage Negotiator. We will also hear from TimelyCare and NAMI North Texas (National Alliance on Mental Illness) regarding mental health and wellness resources. This free event is open to faculty, staff, students, and the community!
